Apex Legends: How to get Heirlooms?
There are two different ways of getting Heirlooms in Apex Legends explained below.
Packs
You will be able to get one Heirloom in 500 pack openings, and with each pack opened, the odds increase as it guarantees heirloom shards within 500 packs. Earlier you would get a random Heirloom within these 500 packs, but it was later changed by Respawn in February 2020.
Players will now get Heirloom Shards instead that they can collect to unlock the Heirloom set of their own choice. You will get a random number of shards with each pack opening; however, you will get enough of them to unlock at least one Heirloom set by opening 500 packs.
At the moment, opening packs is the only way to get Heirloom Shards at the moment that you can purchase by spending your money. However, if you don’t want to do this, you have to play the game to acquire packs and keep opening them.
The best way to get these packs would be to level up your account and complete the Battle Pass and events, as they give quite a lot of packs to add to your tally of pack opening.
Specific Events
There is an alternative to getting the Heirloom, but it isn’t as cheap as the first one. Respawn releases collection events featuring an Heirloom set, and if you acquire all the cosmetics, you will get the Heirloom for free.
The total cost calculated to get an heirloom this way adds up to $150; however, you will not be getting heirloom shards but the featured Heirloom itself in the event. After the event ends, the featured Heirloom moves to the current list of Heirlooms in the game.
Apex Legends: How to track the number of packs opened?
There isn’t any proper way or any in-game feature to keep a record or track of how much you have spent on the game. However, there are different websites, such as Apex Pack Calculator, designed by the community people to help players with this task. All you have to do is submit your Battle Pass, account level, etc., and the website will run an algorithm to determine how many packs you’ve opened and how many are left to reach the 500 mark to get a guaranteed Heirloom.
