Ninjas in Pyjamas has finalized its match against DRX for April 12 by beating Fnatic in the VCT Masters Reykjavík 2022 group stage. Fnatic was playing without Derke and braveAF which played a huge factor, and not only this, but they got outplayed by NiP in the aim game.
The first map, Ascent, was Fnatic’s pick; however, Ninjas in Pyjamas destroyed Fnatic in the first six rounds, not letting them win even a single one of them. However, a fantastic ace by H1ber in the seventh round brought the first point for Fnatic, and from there, the team secured three back-to-back rounds to close the gap a bit.
Ninjas in Pyjamas made a comeback again to end the first half with a six-point lead. Fnatic won the pistol round in the second half to give them the momentum they needed; however, it did not take NiP too long to snatch that away as they won the match with a score of 13-7.
The next map, i.e., Split, started with both teams dominating the game equally as they won three rounds each before Ninjas in Pyjamas won five consecutive rounds to gain a massive lead. Fnatic then pulled off a tremendous clutch, thanks to Fearoth and Mistic, to close out the first half with a score of 8-4.
However, NiP’s terror continued to spread as their aggressive play snatched two rounds one after the other to secure a six-point lead. Fnatic then started taking things a bit slow, and securing some early kills in the next three rounds closed the gap a bit as the score hit 10-7. Still, this wasn’t enough as Ninjas in Pyjamas jumped back into the game and finished things off in style, winning the match with a score of 13-8.
