One of the best matches of VCT Masters Reykjavík 2022 is now over as ZETA Division beats Fnatic to qualify for the playoffs. Fnatic came in as favorites but ZETA DIVISION’s insane clutches took their chance of proceeding further in the tournament away by beating them by 2-0.
The first map, Fracture, started off with ZETA DIVISION dominating two back-to-back rounds before Fnatic snatched the third round, thanks to Boaster’s clean shots. However, ZETA DIVISION pulled the game to their side outplaying Fnatic by a huge margin winning round sixth to 11th continuously to end the first half at the score of 9-3.
The second half started with a win for ZETA DIVISION however in the next round, H1ber pulled off three insane kills with a Sheriff and that’s when Fnatic started picking up the momentum. However, ZETA DIVISION snatched the game back from them to win the match with a six-point lead and an end score of 13-7.
The second map, Icebox, was Fnatic’s pick but in the first round itself, SugarZ3ro pulled off a mind-blowing clutch to start off with a win. Fnatic however didn’t give them a chance after that by winning four rounds one after the other before Laz pulled off an insane clutch in the round number six. The tables turned completely after that as ZETA DIVISION won five rounds out of seven with some incredible clutches to even out the scores by the end of the first half.
The story for the second half was pretty much the same with Fnatic dominating and winning three back-to-back rounds in the beginning before ZETA DIVISION’s retakes closed the gap to just one point. After going back and forth for the remaining rounds, ZETA DIVISION made the unbelievable happen by ending the game with one of the best clutches of VCT Masters Reykjavík.
They will now face Ninjas in Pyjamas to fight for a slot in the VCT Masters Reykjavík playoffs on April 13.
